Ingredients for Almond Halwa
Almonds – 1 cup
Ghee – 1/2
Milk – 2 cups
sugar as per taste
Cardamom powder – 1/4 tsp
Saffron threads – 8 to 10
Cashews, raisins, pistachios – as required
How to make almond pudding
– First of all, wash the almonds thoroughly and soak them in water for five to six hours. Then peel it and grind it finely. – Now heat ghee in a pan and fry the ground almonds in it on low flame. – After the color of almonds turns brown, add milk to it. Boil the milk and almond mixture.
When the milk is reduced to half and the mixture becomes thick, add sugar to it and stir well. When the sugar dissolves well, add cardamom powder and saffron to it. – Now you can also add dry fruits to it. – Cook the halwa for five to ten minutes and then turn off the gas and cover it.
