Actor Allu Arjun and the makers of the film ‘Pushpa’ on Wednesday announced financial assistance of Rs 2 crore to the family of the woman who died in a stampede during the film’s screening at a theater on December 4. Meanwhile, Telangana State Film Development Corporation (FDC) chairman and chief producer Dil Raju said a delegation of film personalities will meet Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Thursday to promote healthy relations between the government and the film industry. .

He announced that Allu Arjun (Rs 1 crore), Pushpa’s production company Maithri Movie Makers (Rs 50 lakh) and the film’s director Sukumar (Rs 50 lakh) have provided financial assistance to help the boy’s family. Allu Aravind gives the check to Dil Raju and requests him to deliver it to the boy’s family. He said that due to legal obligations the family cannot be contacted directly without prior permission.

On December 4, a 35-year-old woman died and her eight-year-old son was admitted to hospital during a stampede at Sandhya theater in Hyderabad, where the film ‘Pushpa 2’ was being shown.

Following the incident, a case was registered under various sections of the Indian Penal Code against Allu Arjun, his security team and the theater management at Chikkadappally police station based on the complaint of the deceased woman’s family.

The city police had arrested Allu Arjun on December 13 in connection with the woman’s death. The Telangana High Court granted him four weeks’ interim bail the same day and he was released from jail here on the morning of December 14.
