Pakistan limited-overs’ and Multan Sultans’ skipper Mohammad Rizwan was asked by a reporter whether the team will walk the path of winning after learning for so many years. With PSL 2025 on the horizon, the 32-year-old once again said it’s all about winning and learning.
Rizwan-led Multan Sultans, who were the runners-up in the 2024 edition, will open their campaign against the Karachi Kings on April 12 in Karachi. The opening night of the tournament will see defending champions Islamabad United face Lahore Qalandars in Rawalpindi.
Speaking at the presser, here’s what Rizwan said and Karachi Kings’ vice-captain Hasan Ali was seemingly laughing
“Aisa hai ki mujhe result ki parwa nahin hai. Result allah ke haath mein hai. Allah ne jo cheez hamaare haath mein hai, usko hum fulfil karne ki koshish karenge, chahe woh hard work ho, awareness ho. Koshish toh hum poori karenge, Allah win bhi deta hai, learn bhi deta hai. Humne usse seekhna hai, ya toh jeet hai. Result allah ke haath mein hai.”
(The thing is I don’t care about results. Result is in allah’s hands. We will do everything to trigger a favour result, whether it’s hard work or awareness or anything else. We will try our very best. Allah either gives win or learn.)
