Prayagraj, 09 November (H.C.). To make Mahakumbh clean and beautiful, about 10,000 sweepers have been deployed day and night to brighten the entire area. All these scavengers are working in the direction of CM Yogi’s Manshanuro Swachh Mahakumbh. As Mahakumbh is getting closer, their activities are accelerating. The Yogi government is taking special care of the convenience and respect of these personnel. Through Swachh Kumbh Kosh, arrangements are being made for their stay, food and free education for children. This initiative of the Yogi government is also providing education, health and economic security to the scavengers and their families.
-Construction of Consultation Colony
Akanksha Rana, Special Officer of Mahakumbh Mela, said that the scavengers have an important contribution in making clean Mahakumbh. These day and night are engaged in their work. In such a situation, according to the instructions of CM Yogi, the responsibility of his safety and convenience is being discharged. A sanitation colony has been built for the scavengers in the fair area, where the entire system of eating and drinking and living has been made free of cost. This initiative is providing both comfort and security to the scavengers.
Primary School and Anganwadi Center for children
Special care is also being taken to the education of children of scavengers in Mahakumbh. A primary school and Anganwadi centers are being opened in each sector. A primary school has been established in the fair area on Friday itself, where children will be promoted to education as well as sports activities. In these schools, children will also be able to get facilities like mid -day meal. If needed, more than one primary schools can also be established in some sectors. These facilities will be temporarily operated during Maha Kumbh.
-The payment of mind through DBT
The honorarium of scavengers is also being paid at a quick speed, so that their daily needs can be fulfilled easily. According to the fixed arrangement, their prescribed honorarium is being transferred directly to their account through DBT every 15 days. A special clean Kumbh Kosh has been established for the scavengers to make Mahakumbh successful and clean. Through this, all possible assistance is being given to the scavengers. Also, efforts are being made to connect them with other schemes of the Central and State Government, so that they can be socially and economically empowered.
