After losing to defending champion Jannik Sinner in the Australian Open final, Alexander Zverev was heckled during the trophy ceremony. A video circulating on social media shows a woman in the audience interrupting Zverev’s speech by shouting, “Australia believes Olya and Brenda!”

Referencing Zverev’s ex-partners, Brenda Patea and Olya Sharypova, who have accused him of domestic violence. Both allegations were widely discussed, though a 2024 court case ended without determining guilt or innocence.

Who Are Brenda Patea and Olya Sharypova?
Brenda Patea, who has a daughter with Zverev, accused him of physical abuse during an argument in Berlin in May 2020. Before Patea, Olya Sharypova, a former tennis player, alleged in 2020 that Zverev had abused her in various cities during ATP tournaments. Sharypova claimed he punched her in the face and smothered her with a pillow in separate incidents.

Jannik Sinner Dominates Zverev in Final
Zverev’s defeat to Sinner (6-3, 7-6(4), 6-3) marks his third Grand Slam final loss, following defeats at the 2020 US Open and the 2024 French Open. Unlike his previous losses, which were decided in grueling five-set matches, Sinner’s victory came in straight sets. The World No. 1 was dominant, not allowing Zverev a single breakpoint opportunity.

With this win, Sinner secured his second consecutive Australian Open title and third Grand Slam overall, joining legends like Andre Agassi, Roger Federer, and Novak Djokovic in winning back-to-back Australian Open titles in the 21st century.
