A piece of the bottle hit an 18-year-old burqa-clad girl identified as Amina Khan, but fortunately, she did not suffer any serious injuries. The train from which the bottle was thrown was heading towards CSMT.
Passenger Raises Concern, Police Ignore
A 29-year-old passenger, Pranavi Billa, picked up the broken bottle and approached the female police constables onboard to report the incident. However, they did not respond or take any action.

Pranavi expressed her frustration, saying, “I tried to ask the police to take some action, but they did not respond at all.”
Passengers are now calling for stricter security measures and action against such reckless behaviour to ensure women’s safety on trains. The police should be more alert and prompt in responding to complaints of such incidents. Luckily, the bottle did not hit any female passenger directly, this could have been fatal.

FPJ Journalist’s Statement
The 22-year-old female journalist of FPJ said, “I was sitting in the ladies compartment when, out of nowhere, a large alcohol bottle was thrown inside. Everyone was stunned and terrified by the sudden incident. What made it worse was that two female constables were present, yet they did nothing to intervene or help. It was a stark reminder that, despite all the efforts toward safety, women still remain vulnerable in local trains. Incidents like this could easily endanger innocent lives.”

After some time a man boards the train and approaches the girl who was hit by the bottle and asks her about her injury. The man also returns after asking the details of the injury and no action was taken in connection with the matter.
