Washington: The popularity of Allen Musk, who was once known as technical visionary and world’s richest man, is declining rapidly, especially after joining politics in Washington. A survey by the Associated Press-NORC Center found that only 33 percent of American adults have a favorable opinion about musk, which is 41 percent less than December last year. Most negativity stems from the point of view of Musk’s government to increase its influence, due to which the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) had to reduce the number of federal employees.

Musk’s efforts resulted in large -scale trimmed and the agencies were closed. But its ambitious target of cutting 1 trillion dollar in spending was later reduced to $ 150 billion, which is also unlikely to be achieved.

Critics such as Lab Technician Ernest Perera and retired Susan Wolf argue that Musk’s corporate success is not favorable for effective governance. Wolf said that different priorities are required to run a business to run a government.

Musk’s inclination towards the conservative ideology, as well as criticism of walk-on culture and government expenses has also polarized public opinion. Only one of the ten Democrats and only two out of ten independent people have a favorable opinion about them, while seven out of ten Republics have a favorable opinion about them.

While Republicans typically support Musk’s reforms, democrats and independent people are more concerned about negative aspects of government spending cuts. Since Musk is preparing to quit his government role and focus on Tesla, his public image has suffered extensive damage, especially outside the Republican circles.
