Bollywood star Akshay Kumar registered a staggering profit as he sold two apartments in Mumbai for a whopping Rs 6.60 crore. As per reports, the apartments were located in a swanky township in Borivali suburbs of the city, and he had purchased them in 2017.
Both the flats were reportedly situated in Oberoi Sky City in Borivali East. They were located on the 34th floor of the skyscraper. As per official documents, the Rowdy Rathore star purchased the first apartment in November 2017 for Rs 2.82 crore. Spanning across 1,080 sq ft, he sold the apartment on March 20 this year for Rs 5.35 crore.
The second apartment, a 252 sq ft unit, was purchased in 2017 by the actor for Rs 67.19 lakh, and he sold it on March 20 for Rs 1.25 crore.
While Akshay collectively purchased the apartments for Rs 3.49 crore, he sold them a few days ago for Rs 6.60 crore, thus registering a profit of almost 89 per cent over a period of over seven years.
The stamp duty for both the apartments was Rs 40 lakh, along with Rs 60,000 registration fees.
This marks Akshay’s third real estate deal this year, as earlier, in January, he sold his 12th floor apartment in Mumbai for Rs 4.25 crore.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Akshay will be next seen in the film Kesari Chapter 2, based on the backdrop of the Jallianwala Bagh massacre. The film will release in theatres on April 18.
Besides, he also has a cameo as Lord Shiva in Vishnu Manchu’s upcoming film, Kannappa, which is scheduled to hit the silver screens on April 25.
