Getting away with such a large number of gas cylinders is almost impossible and the people are confused and trying to figure out what the thieves will do with the 147 gas cylinders stolen from the agency.

There are reports that a complaint has been registered in connection with the matter and an investigation has been initiated. The police are investigating the CCTV cameras installed in the vicinity. The police said that they received a complaint stating that the miscreants arrived at the agency and threatened the security with gun on Saturday (November 30) night.

The robbers then fled away with 147 gas cylinders leaving the security guard unhurt. The gas agency where the incident occurred is located in Chhateri village which falls under the Mirza Murad Police Station area.

Samajwadi Party chief and MP Akhilesh Yadav slammed the BJP government and PM Narendra Modi over the incident. He said, “The news of robbery of 147 filled cylinders at gunpoint in Varanasi, the prime parliamentary constituency of the country is shocking. The public is mocking the BJP government and asking whether these robbers have said before leaving that the BJP government will fulfill the promise of free cylinders on Holi-Diwali or it will be done in the same way. BJP left the law and order situation in Uttar Pradesh a joke. Seriously reprehensible!”
