Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): The Akhil Bhartiya Brahmin Samaj expressed deep concern over a recent mob lynching incident in Mauganj district, Madhya Pradesh, where a local resident and a police officer lost their lives, while several police personnel sustained injuries.
State President of Akhil Bhartiya Brahmin Samaj, Pushpendra Mishra, highlighted that nearly a dozen people from the Brahmin community have been killed or brutally attacked by mobs in different parts of the state over the past two months. Citing the Mauganj incident and a February mob attack in Jabalpur that claimed four Brahmin lives, Mishra questioned the growing trend of such violence in Madhya Pradesh.
Criticism of BJP Leaders’ Silence
Mishra criticized State BJP President V.D. Sharma and Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla for their silence on these incidents. He accused them of projecting themselves as Brahmin leaders during elections but failing to address concerns when the community faces violence.
Warning of Massive Protest in Bhopal
The Akhil Bhartiya Brahmin Samaj has announced plans to stage a large-scale protest in Bhopal if authorities fail to take action. Mishra stated that they would meet the state DGP on Monday to submit a detailed report on recent attacks and demand strict action against the perpetrators.
