Ajith Kumar’s Good Bad Ugly has been doing well at the box office, and audiences love it. However, on Tuesday, the movie made headlines for the wrong reason. Veteran music composer Ilaiyaraaja sent a legal notice to the film’s team for using his songs without his permission. Good Bad Ugly’s producer, Y. Ravi Shankar of Mythri Movie Makers, has spoken about the legal notice.

While talking to Hindustan Times, he said, “We have taken permission from all the music labels required for the songs we used in the film. The labels hold the rights, so we have followed protocol and taken NOCs from them. We have done things by the book.”

In his notice, the music composer has asked for a written apology and Rs. 5 crore compensation.

Good Bad Ugly Box Office Collection

Good Bad Ugly did quite well at the box office during its first five days, but on day six, the movie showed a drop. After collecting a double-digit amount for five days, on the sixth day, the film collected approximately Rs. 6.50 crore, bringing the total to Rs. 107.80 crore.

Good Bad Ugly Budget

Good Bad Ugly is reportedly made on a budget of Rs. 270 crore, so the film surely needs to have better collections. Ajith Kumar’s last release Vidaamuyarchi, had failed to make a mark at the box office. The film’s lifetime collection was Rs. 80.35 crore. Good Bad Ugly in just four days had surpassed the collection of Vidaamuyarchi.

Directed by Adhik Ravichandran, Good Bad Ugly also stars Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Das, Sunil, Karthikeya Dev, Priya Prakash Varrier, Prabhu, Prasanna, Tinnu Anand and Raghu Ram. The film has received mixed to positive reviews from the critics and the word of mouth has been quite good. So, let’s wait and watch what will be the lifetime collection of the movie.
