Actor Ajith Kumar left his fans concerned on Tuesday after he was involved in a massive car crash during the practice session of the upcoming Dubai 24 Hours race, also known as the 24H Dubai 2025. The actor narrowly escaped any major injury and he is reportedly set to resume practice on Wednesday.
According to a report in India Today, Ajith’s spokesperson informed that while the car in which the actor was practicing is partially damaged, the actor is unhurt. “Ajith was practicing for hours to take part in the race that will happen on January 11. During one of the sessions, his car hit one of the walls and spun multiple times. The front part of the vehicle was damaged. He will resume practice today,” the report quoted the actor’s spokesperson.
The report also mentioned that Ajith underwent a thorough medical examination post the accident.
For those unversed, Ajith, an avid racer, was practicing for 24H Dubai 2025 when he lost control of his car at 130 kmph and it crashed into a barrier, post which it was seen spinning seven times before it finally stopped.
Sharing a video of the incident on Instagram, his team wrote, “Ajith Kumar’s massive crash in practise, but he walks away unscathed. Another day in the office … that’s racing! (sic).”
Another member from Ajith’s team, Fabien Duffieux, shared in a post that the actor escaped the accident without a single scratch. “Today was another reminder that the journey of learning never ends. No matter the setback, our passion for racing pushes us to keep going, to keep improving, and to keep learning from every experience. The road ahead is still full of lessons, and we are ready to face them all as a team, as a family (sic),” he wrote.
On the film front, Ajith is now awaiting the release of two films — Vidaamuyarchi and Good Bad Ugly.
