Tokyo: Flight services were temporarily disrupted due to a cyber attack on Japan Airlines on Thursday. This led to delays in some domestic and international flights and suspension of ticket sales, but now the system is back up and running, he said.
The airline said that no customer information was leaked in the attack. Along with this, there is no harm to the system due to computer virus. The attack took place at 7:24 in the morning. Due to this, the internal and external arrangements of the airlines were disrupted. They had temporarily shut down the router to prevent misuse. Along with this, the sale of tickets for flights departing on Thursday was also stopped.
The airline said it had determined the cause of the attack at 8:56 am and had taken action against it, suspending ticket sales until the problem was resolved. The airline eventually claimed that the system failure was caused by the large amount of data. Ticket sales for domestic and international flights have finally started, but the airline’s airport stand-by device and same-day upgrade process are still suspended.
