Delta Airlines aircraft accident: The flight number 4819 of Delta Airlines has crashed at the time of landing. The flight was from the Minianpolis-Sent Paul Airport to the Toronto Pearson International Airport. However, it crashed while landing at Toronto Pearson Airport. The aircraft had 80 people, out of which 76 were passengers and 4 crew members. All passengers have been evacuated from the aircraft, 18 people have been injured in the accident.
According to the Canadian Meteorological Department, winds were moving at a speed of 65 kmph. It is believed that the aircraft crashed. However, the exact cause of the accident is not yet known. The US National Transport Safety Board has now come forward to help.
According to the Reuters report, paramedics at the scene confirmed that two passengers suffered serious injuries in the accident, while other passengers suffered minor injuries.
The Piercene International Airport in Toronto wrote in a post regarding the incident on X, “We are aware of an incident related to the flight of Delta Airlines from Miniapolis, and emergency teams are engaged in relief and rescue operations.” All passengers and crew are being taken care of.
Giving information about the accident, Peel Local Police Constable Sara Patton said, “The plane crash has taken place.” According to my knowledge, most of the passengers are safe and have been taken out of the aircraft.
Several videos of the crashed aircraft have surfaced on social media, in which the aircraft is seen to be overturned and the emergency service team is doing rescue work. Snow is seen lying around the runway. Due to this incident, 40 flights leaving from Toronto Pearson Airport will be delayed. According to the information, the aircraft overturned due to malfunction in the flap actuator.
