Air Asia aircraft fire: Air Asia’s flight AK128 engine caught fire from Malaysia to Shanezhen in China. Soon after flying, it had to make a safe landing in Kuala Lumpur. However, no casualties were reported in this incident.
The Selngor State Fire Department said in a statement that the air Asia aircraft caught fire when the numetic ducting in the right engine broke immediately after flying at 9.59 pm on Wednesday night. Due to which the aircraft going to Shanezhen, China returned to Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
The underlying systems of the aircraft completely extinguished the fire. The aircraft had 171 passengers and crew members, all are safe. Fire department personnel took out all passengers and crew safely from the aircraft.
