Mumbai: The Worli Police have registered a case against All India Majlis-e-Ittehad-ul-Muslimeen (AIMIM) leader Waris Pathan, his wife Gazala, son Arbaaz Pathan, and an unidentified person. The FIR was lodged on February 17 based on a complaint filed by Amol Patade, the manager of Piramal Builders.
According to Patade’s complaint, Waris Pathan and his family allegedly obstructed carpenters and electricians from working at a flat in the Omkar 1973 building and verbally abused them. The incident occurred when the workers arrived at Flat No. 4305 on the 43rd floor of the tower to carry out their assigned tasks. It is alleged that Pathan, his family, and some others entered the flat, used abusive language, and prevented the workers from proceeding with their work.
Following the complaint, the police have registered a case under sections 3(5), 329(4), 352(2), and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Meanwhile, Waris Pathan has filed a counter-complaint against Piramal Builders at the same Worli police station, alleging intimidation and hooliganism by the builder.
The Worli Police are currently investigating both complaints to determine the sequence of events and take further action.
