Meerut: As the probe into the former merchant navy officer Saurabh Rajput’s murder is still underway, an artificial intelligence (AI) generated objectionable video allegedly featuring the deceased’s wife Muskaan Rastogi and a police official has sparked a row. Notably, Rastogi is the prime accused in the case. The AI-generated video allegedly shows Rajput’s wife and Brahmpuri police station in-charge Ramakant Pachauri in a compromising position.

As per the police, the video was AI-generated and it was uploaded with malicious intent. The police have launched a probe to track down the people who created and uploaded the video. The matter surfaced after the Karamveer Singh of Brahmpuri police station filed a complaint. Singh claimed that an Instagram account, named ‘Priyanshu’ uploaded an objectionable and misleading video, which was reported in News18.

Rajput was allegedly killed by his wife and her boyfriend on March 4 at his rented home in Brahmapuri’s Indranagar in Meerut. The matter surfaced on March 18. The police arrested both the accused.

Notably, Rajput, who had returned from London for his daughter’s birthday, planned to renew his visa and take his family with him. Rastogi refused, wanting to stay in Meerut, likely for Shukla.

Shockingly, she drugged Rajput, stabbed him and slit his throat while Shukla beheaded him. They chopped the body into 15 pieces, sealed it in a drum with cement and planned to hide it. After killing the former merchant navy officer, the accused went to Himachal Pradesh.

Rajput’s wife confessed the crime to her parents who then informed the police leading to her and her boyfriend’s arrest.
