The Indian Air Force (IAF) has announced the launch of the application process for Agniveer Vayu under the Agneepath Scheme. Interested young men and women can apply from January 7 to January 27, 2025. The application process will be online and forms can be filled on the official website www.agnipathvayu.cdac.in.
Eligibility and Age Limit
- Age Limit: Between 17.5 to 21 years.
- Educational qualification:
- 12th pass with an average of 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and English and at least 50% marks in English.
The Indian Air Force has issued a notification in this regard on Friday, which is available on the official website.
Online Exam: Starting from 22nd March 2025
- Exam Dates: Online examination will be conducted in various districts from 22nd March 2025.
- Admit Card: Will be issued via email 24-72 hours before the exam date.
- Exam Details:
- Science Subject (Maths, Physics and English): Exam Duration 60 minutes.
- Non-Science Subjects (Reasoning etc.): Exam Duration 45 minutes.
- Negative Marking: 0.25 marks deducted for every wrong answer.
Physical Efficiency and Medical Examination
This examination will be conducted in two phases:
- Computer based written examination.
- Physical efficiency and medical test.
Physical Efficiency Criteria:
- Male Candidates: Must complete 1.6 km race in 7 minutes.
- Female Candidates: Must complete 1.6 km race in 8 minutes.
Candidates selected in the written examination will be issued separate admit cards for physical efficiency and medical examination.

- Candidates will have to pay an examination fee of Rs 550 (GST extra) during application.
- Payment Options: Debit Card, Credit Card, or Internet Banking.
- Refund on Double Payment: If due to any technical reason the candidate makes the payment more than once, the excess amount will be automatically refunded.
