It is believed that during this visit, the President of Indonesia will sign an agreement on BrahMos missile and its delivery will be done in the next few years.
History will be made on Republic Day
400 soldiers of Indonesia will also participate in the Republic Parade organized in Delhi. Indonesia is the third country in Southeast Asia to sign the BrahMos missile deal with India. Earlier, Philippines had purchased this missile from India. Apart from this, Vietnam has also finalized the deal for the purchase of missiles. In 2020, Prabowo Subianto came to India as Defense Minister. It is being told that meanwhile he met Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and expressed his desire to buy the missile. But, it was postponed due to Indonesia’s budget constraints.
Now Prabowo Subianto himself is in power and wants to dedicate the first year to public welfare schemes. In such a situation, he can buy weapons in the new financial year. India has very good relations with Indonesia. Even though Indonesia is the country with the largest Muslim population in the world, culturally it is a symbol of Sanatan. This has increased the closeness between Indonesia and India. Apart from this, Indonesia has also been a major participant in the India-ASEAN Summit. From India’s point of view, it is encouraging that missiles like BrahMos are being demanded from many countries.
The special thing about BrahMos missile is that it can be launched from water, land and air. This missile can attack the enemy up to a distance of about 650 kilometers. It can hit its target from a distance. The special thing is that this missile has been designed in such a way that it does not wander even after hitting the target at a distance of hundreds of kilometers. This missile can attack enemy targets from sea to high mountains.
