After the nominated members of the cabinet of newly elected US President Donald Trump, now 4 Democratic lawmakers from Connecticut have also been shocked by receiving bomb threats. The FBI swung into action and started investigating the case.
Investigation started after bomb threat to Democratic MPs
The series of bomb threats to American Democratic leaders and MPs does not seem to be slowing down. Just a day earlier, several named members of Donald Trump’s Cabinet received bomb threats, and now at least four Democratic lawmakers in Connecticut received bomb threats at their homes on Thursday. Due to which there has been a stir in America. All these cases are being investigated by America’s Federal Investigation Agency (FBI).
Even the FBI is surprised by the new cases of threats. This time only Democratic MPs and their offices have given information about receiving bomb threats. House of Representatives members Jim Himes, Joe Courtney, John Larson and Jahnnah Hayes shared information about receiving threats. However, the police said that so far they have not found any evidence related to explosive material on the property of the MPs. It is not yet known whether Rosa DeLauro, the fifth Democratic member of the state House of Representatives, and two Democratic Party senators from Connecticut have also received threats. The FBI has started investigating the entire matter.
Bomb threats keep coming
A day before this, information had come to light that many cabinet level nominees and people appointed to high ranking positions in the US administration and their family members had received similar bomb threats. Which is being investigated by the FBI. A spokesperson for US President-elect Donald Trump said on Wednesday that law enforcement agencies have responded to the threats.
