Police arrested 115 prisoners

The police have claimed that, “Our team immediately started action after receiving information about rioting and prisoners in jail.” The team caught 115 prisoners within a few minutes of escape. Riau province police chief Widoda Eco said that there are more than 650 prisoners in the jail. There is a possibility that many more prisoners have escaped.

 

Prisoner was drinking alcohol in jail, police caught

The jail administration has to seek the help of the local police to catch the fleeing prisoners. The campaign around Sumatra Island has started loudly. Police said some prisoners in the jail were drunk and the riot broke out after he was caught by security personnel. The security personnel started beating him, causing the prisoners to get more excited and set fire to the jail. Not only this, angry prisoners also beat up some police personnel. In the incident, three prisoners were beaten up with a chappu, while a police officer died after being shot.
