Vadodara: The police and Vadodara Municipal Corporation have woken up after the brutal murder of the son of a former BJP councilor living in Nagarwada area of the city by Babar Pathan in Sayaji Hospital.
While the Municipal Corporation system had stopped the process of removing the pressure for the last several days, illegal pressures have been removed in Nagarwada and Machhipeth, which are considered sensitive areas of the city. With strong police presence in the area, pressure on the main road was removed with JCB, dumper and other equipment.
Vadodara Corporation has removed the food lorries parked on Macchipeth Salatwada-Nagarwada road as the evening approaches. But the very next day these lorries start rumbling again. Today, the Pressure Branch team of Vadodara Municipality, under tight security of Karelibagh Police, removed illegal pressure on the road from Karelibagh Police Station towards Salatwada and Machhipith via Nagarwada. Illegal encroachments including food lorry, Otla and raw shed have been removed by the Municipality. After creating pressure on the sensitive area, goods were loaded in about 6 trucks and confiscated.
As soon as the pressure branch team, JCB and dumpers pushed, the people of the area gathered and strongly protested against the removal of pressure. But the municipality took action to relieve the pressure without caring about any kind of protest and without considering anyone’s embarrassment.
