Mumbai – Some time ago there was an uproar in Buldhana district of Maharashtra when a childless elderly hair started falling. This problem has not been solved yet and people have started falling nails in four villages of the district. After getting information about this new problem, a medical team has reached there.
About 30 villagers living in four villages of Shegaon taluka in Buldhana district have started falling. Initially it has been estimated that hair loss has started due to excessive amounts of selenium present in wheat, due to which people have lost their hair earlier.
Buldhana Health Officer Dr. Anil Bankar said that the problem of falling nails or partially breaking of about 30 villagers has arisen. After first aid, he will be sent to the Shegaon Hospital for further investigation.
Between December 2024 and January 2025, many people will start having hair loss and bald in Buldhana. This news caught the attention of the whole country. Many medical teams were engaged to find out the reason for this. It was eventually concluded that wheat coming from Punjab was being distributed through silk-wealth shops in villages. People started getting sick because the amount of selenium in this wheat was very high. After this, distribution of wheat coming from Punjab was stopped.
However, now when people have started getting affected after so long, questions are beginning to arise whether the effect of selenium is long -term. This development has once again created panic among local citizens.
