Mumbai – There was an uproar at Dinanath Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune when a pregnant woman died due to lack of timely treatment. Activists of various political parties created a ruckus and pelted stones in the hospital premises. After heavy public outrage, the government has ordered an inquiry into the case. While the State Women’s Commission has taken the incident seriously, the state Chief Minister Fadnavis and Health Minister Prakash Abitkar have assured the investigation of the case and strict action against the culprits.

The deceased Tanisha Bhise was the wife of Sushant Bhise, a personal assistant to BJP Legislative Council member Amit Gorkha. The family of the deceased Tanisha alleged that despite demanding huge amount for treatment, he was not provided treatment, due to which he died after delivery.

According to further information received in this regard, Tanisha Bhisen was admitted to the famous Dinanath Mangeshkar Hospital in Pune due to childbirth. However, it was alleged that the hospital administration demanded Rs 10 lakh per child and claimed that the case is of twin children and complicated. Despite being ready by the family of the deceased to pay 2.5 lakh rupees, the hospital administration refused to treat him. Finally, in an attempt to transfer Tanisha from Mangeshkar Hospital to another hospital, Tanisha gave birth to twins on half the way, but Tanisha died during this time.

The incident received a deep response throughout the state and a strong response against the hospital management. After this incident, Thackeray and Shinde’s Shiv Sena became aggressive and the agitators threw water bottles at the hospital officials who came for discussion. Following this incident, activists of various organizations in Pune also joined the agitation against the hospital and raised loud slogans and demanded that the hospital administration respond to the negligent management.

Delivery was risky: Hospital claims that it did not follow the advice to be admitted

Mumbai, date. 4: Meanwhile, after Manisha Bhise’s death, the hospital said that the internal examination of the hospital and the advice of a gynecologist concluded that the delivery of twins was risky for the patient and was advised to adopt the first child. Although the deceased knew the hospital, he did not come there for regular investigation. It seems that the hospital administration has filed a complaint in anger and demanding advance payment.

Apart from this, the patient and his family did not listen to the advice of the doctors of the hospital and also did not accept the advice of the medical director that the patient should be admitted to the maximum money. The report of the internal committee of the hospital has clarified that the disappointment arising out of the death of the patient and the anger arising over advance payment and the relatives of the deceased lodging a misleading complaint were due to this.
