A shocking case of honeytrap has come to light in Panipat, in which a girl looted Rs 5 lakh from a young man by threatening to implicate him in a rape case. After the incident, the victim lodged a complaint with the police, and the police have started investigating the matter.

According to the information, the young man from Karnal told that he had befriended a girl through Instagram. After a few days of conversation, the girl called him to meet her at a restaurant located in Sector 18, Panipat. Here both of them talked and drank tea.
closeness in gurugram
On December 21, the girl called the young man and proposed him to go out somewhere. Both went to Gurugram, where they had consensual physical relations. Next morning, both of them left for Panipat.
Conspiracy at toll plaza
While returning to Panipat, when the young man was filling CNG in his car, the girl called the gang to the Panipat toll plaza. As soon as he reached the toll plaza at 11 am, two boys stopped his car and snatched his car keys.
Threat of being implicated in rape case
After this the youth was taken to Model Town police station. There the girl, her friend and both the boys threatened the young man to file a rape case. Also, demanded Rs 10 lakh.
Loot of Rs 5 lakh and deal for the remaining amount
Ultimately the matter was settled for Rs 8 lakh. The victim paid Rs 5 lakh on the spot, while promising to pay Rs 3 lakh the next day.
Police engaged in investigation
As soon as he got information about the incident, the youth lodged a complaint with the police. The police have registered a case against the girl and her gang and started investigation. Police are now trying to find out whether the gang has carried out more such incidents.
