Security has been beefed up at the victim’s house in Shahjahanpur district following the Supreme Court’s decision to release Asaram on interim bail on medical grounds, a police officer said in a statement.

The victim’s father expressed concern about the safety of his family and expressed hope for the court’s decision.

Additional Superintendent of Police (City) Sanjay Kumar Sagar said that after the order of the Supreme Court, he himself went to the victim’s house and talked to the family members.

He said that a policeman has already been deployed at the victim’s house. Apart from this, the victim’s father is also accompanied by a security guard with a gun. After the decision, additional security personnel have been deployed.

Necessary instructions have been given to the concerned police station and circle officer for the safety of the family.

Sagar said that instructions have been given to repair the damaged CCTV cameras in and around the victim’s house. The victim’s father has been asked to inform before leaving the house.
