In an adorable moment outside a mall in Adelaide, Team India keeper-batter Rishabh Pant was seen spending time with a child. In a video shared on the social media platform of X, the left-handed batter was seen spending time with the young fan, who was sitting on his lap after playing with him.
Pant has become one of the most popular foreign players in Australia, given he played integral roles in India’s last two series wins Down Under. The 27-year-old also gained popularity due to his banter with then Aussie captain Tim Paine during the 2018-19 leg. However, the 2020-21 series was most memorable for the fans as Pant played a knock of 97 during the fourth innings in Sydney and followed it up with an unbeaten 89 for a historic victory in Brisbane.
Meanwhile, below is the video of Pant spending time with a child:
Australia level series and maintain their perfect pink-ball record in Adelaide
Meanwhile, the southpaw failed to produce the expected runs in Adelaide as he departed for 21 and 28, allowing the hosts to prevail.
Australia maintained their perfect record at the Adelaide Oval when it comes to pink-ball Tests as they thrashed Team India by ten wickets to level the series. The hosts were right on the money from the outset as Mitchell Starc dismissed Yashasvi Jaiswal in the first ball of the innings. Starc starred with six wickets in the first innings to bowl the tourists out for 180.
Later, Travis Head’s whirlwind 140 gave their side a 157-run lead. Pat Cummins stepped up in the second innings, taking a fifer to skittle India for 175 and setting Australia with a 19-run target. Openers Usman Khawaja and Nathan McSweeney needed less than five overs to knock off the target.
