Ratlam (Madhya Pradesh): The district-level public hearing, chaired by additional collector Dr Shalini Srivastava, was held at collector’s office. Joint collector Sanjeev Pandey, deputy collector Radha Mahant, SDM (Rural)Vivek Sonkar were also present.

During the hearing, instructions were given to the concerned departments for redressal of applications received during the hearing. Villager Ramchandra Devi Lal of Bharoda gram panchayat complained about dilapidated condition of dams of roads due to the use of substandard material during construction work in the village and demanded action.

Instructions were issued to the district panchayat CEO for action. Reshma said for the past eight months the battery of her electronic tricycle, provided to her by the department of social justice, was not working and she was unable to get the battery repaired.

Urging for a solution to the problem, she complained that without her tricycle she is facing problems in fetching water, buying milk etc as there is no one else in the house.

Villagers including Dhapubai Dev, Bhagwatilal, Girdhari Dhakad, Devi Lal and others submitted an application to complain against sarpanch of Bharoda gram panchayat. Similarly, people of Sansar village of the district complained that local officials did not attend office regularly and there were many pending revenue cases. They also alleged that information related to farmers was not passed on to them. Instructions were issued to Sailana SDM to take action on the application.
