BMC Provides Update On Vidyavihar Flyover Project, Emphasises Rehabilitation For Timely Completion | X|@mybmc
Mumbai: The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) provided an update on the ongoing project at Vidyavihar Railway Over Bridge (ROB). The announcement was made via X on Thursday. According to BMC, the project is progressing at a fast pace, with Abhijit Bangar, the Additional Municipal Commissioner (Project P), is inspecting the work. Bangar instructed the Ward Officer and other officials to ensure the rehabilitation process is completed within the given time frame.
Municipal Commissioner Abhijit Bangar stated that the ongoing construction is impacting some houses and shops in the western area. He emphasised that the bridge work cannot be finished until the rehabilitation of affected residents and shopkeepers is addressed.

In an X post BMC stated,”पूर्व उपनगरातील विद्याविहार रेल्वे स्थानकावरून जाणारा पूर्व आणि पश्चिम यांना जोडणारा उड्डाणपूल बृहन्मुंबई महानगरपालिकेच्या वतीने बांधण्यात येत आहे. अतिरिक्त महानगरपालिका आयुक्त (प्रकल्‍प) श्री. अभिजीत बांगर यांनी उड्डाणपूल कामांची आज पाहणी केली. तसेच, आवश्‍यक ते निर्देश दिले. विद्याविहार उड्डाणपूलाची स्‍थापत्‍य विषयक कामे गतीने सुरू आहेत. पश्चिम भागामध्‍ये काही घरे व दुकाने बाधित होत आहेत. त्‍यांच्‍या पुनर्वसनाचा प्रश्‍न सुटल्‍याशिवाय पूलाचे काम पूर्ण करणे शक्‍य नाही. त्‍यासाठी प्रभाग अधिकारी व इतर अधिका-यांनी पूनर्वसनाची कार्यवाही कालबद्ध मर्यादेत पूर्ण करावी, असे निर्देश श्री.बांगर यांनी दिले.

About Vidyavihar Railway Over Bridge
The Vidyavihar Railway Over Bridge (ROB) project in Mumbai is designed to alleviate traffic congestion in the eastern suburbs. It will link Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg and Ramakrishna Chemburkar Marg in Ghatkopar with a 650-meter-long, two-lane flyover.
