Famous actor of Punjabi film industry Guggu Gill today prayed at the Golden Temple in Amritsar. He prayed in the Guru’s house and prayed for the good of all. He thanked God and said that he has come to Ardas at the Guru’s feet before the release of his upcoming film ‘Shaonki Sardara’ so that the film can be successful and he could be blessed by the audience.
Talking to reporters, Guggu Gill said that he had a long desire to pay obeisance in Shri Darbar Sahib and today he has got this opportunity. He took his blessings at the feet of the Guru and said that with spiritual energy, he will now start preparing for the promotion and release of his upcoming film.
Guggu Gill told that his new film ‘Shaonki Sardara’ is releasing on 16 May. In this film, he will be seen alongside Punjabi music industry veteran Babbu Mann and Guru Randhawa. He said that he is very excited about the film and hopes that it will get a lot of love from the audience.
Guggu Gill said that he always gives priority to such characters who give positive messages to the society. Recalling his films ‘Sikander’, ‘Badla Jatti Da’, ‘Jatt Te Zameen’, he said that he is very special for him as he played challenging and impressive roles in them.
Guggu Gill also said that if he gets a chance in future, he would like to make a film on ‘Hari Singh Nalwa’, the great warrior of Sikh history and it would be an honor for him to play his role. He said that stories of Sikh history can play an important role in inspiring future generations.
Drug spread in Punjab
But expressing concern, the actor said that today the intoxication has merged into the veins of the youth, which is very sad. He appealed to the parents to encourage their children towards sports and creative activities so that they could stay away from drugs and contribute to society building.
Guggu Gill said that governments or social service organizations cannot build drug -free society unless the common people themselves are aware. He emphasized that public awareness is the only way to get rid of drug addiction.
