Why is this action important?
Illegal e-rickshaws and autos not only spoil the traffic system in the state, but also pose a threat to traffic safety and the life of the general public. There are many vehicles that are being run without registration, license or fitness certificate, due to which:
- The risk of road accidents increases
- There is more congested and traffic jam
- Valid vehicle owners suffer economic losses
This step of the government is a strong initiative to control these problems.
What is the plan ahead?
- The campaign will run till 30 April 2025
- It will be regularly monitored across the state
- Review will be done every day from headquarters
- Local administration and traffic police will be given more resources if needed
