Artificial intelligence is yet to take over the human race, as many expect it to. But, it has definitely captured and therefore taken over the larger, popular imagination.

The possibility of making the impossible happen with AI has been on the minds of many, especially those tech companies like Google, Meta and Microsoft who have poured billions into exploring the avenue.

Vijay Kedia On The Question Of AI

Meanwhile, the advent of AI has also raised concerns among many. As the debate continues to rage on Mumbai-based ace investor and market observer Vijay Kedia shared his two cents on the rapid expansion of AI.

According to Kedia, more than the developer, the companies like OpenAI and Meta, it is the other companies, the users of the AI products, who stand to benefit from this boom.

Vijay Kedia, along with his investing acumen, is also known for his colourful personality and the vibrance that he brings to conversations that he is part of. He presented his take on the matter in his own style.

According to him, AI is an essential tool, and eventually, it will have to be deployed or used by all companies across the board.

According to Kedia, more than the developer, the companies like OpenAI and Meta, it is the other companies, the users of the AI products, who stand to benefit from this boom.

Kedia said, “Just as the invention of fridges enabled Pepsi and Coca-Cola to dominate globally, AI will empower users to create and innovate. The true beneficiaries of AI will be those who harness its potential, not just the developers.”

The Pepsi-Coke Story

Citing the example of two of the biggest beverage and soft drink companies, Pepsico and Coca-Cola, he said that although refrigerators revolutionsed the world, it was not manufactured by one person or company alone.

Pepsi and Coca-Cola are two of the biggest beverage makers in the world.

There were multiple players in the field. But, according to Kedia, two companies, Pepsi and Coca-Cola made the most of it, when they don’t even manufacture refrigerators (at least, that is not their primary business).

This, therefore, according to Kedia is another instance where those companies and other entities are able to use the potential of a piece of technology that will flourish. AI, as per Kedia is also at the same crossroads.
