The main accused, who was injured during a brief police encounter on Wednesday, is currently receiving treatment at Ujjain’s Government Charak Hospital.

The case began when villagers caught two youths, including the main accused Farman, and found obscene videos, photos, and call recordings on their mobile phones.

Farman was handed over to Ghattia Police Station, and a shutdown was called in Bichrod on Tuesday.

Hindu organisations also gathered in the village, prompting senior police officers, including SP Pradeep Sharma, to reach the spot to maintain law and order.

Police say further investigation is ongoing, and action will be taken against all involved as per the law.
