The news of the car accident of former Team India captain Sourav Ganguly’s convoy has come to light. The accident occurred on Thursday while going to Burdwan. It is being told that the vehicles had to brake due to suddenly coming in front of a lorry, causing the vehicles running in the convoy to collide. However, it is a matter of relief that neither Ganguly suffered any injuries nor any other person involved in the convoy suffered any damage.

How did the accident happen?

The incident took place on the Durgapur Expressway in Dadpur in Hooghly district of West Bengal. It was raining at that time, due to which the roads were slippery.

According to eyewitnesses, a lorry was running in front of Sourav Ganguly’s convoy, which suddenly put a brake. The driver of Ganguly’s car applied the brakes in time, surviving the accident. But the two -back cars collided with each other, causing minor damage.

Police response

A police officer of Dadpur police station said that Sourav Ganguly’s car was not harmed and all passengers are safe in this accident. Two cars behind the convoy suffered mild damage, but no one was hurt.

Burdwan involved in the program

After the accident, Sourav Ganguly participated in his programs. He interacted with the students in the auditorium of the Golapbagh campus of Burdwan University and answered their questions. He then visited the Mohun Bagan Maidan of the university.

Sourav Ganguly further reached the Radharani Stadium in Burdwan, where he was honored by the Burdwan Sports Association (BDS).

What did Ganguly say?

At the honor ceremony, Sourav Ganguly said,
“I am overwhelmed. Burdwan looks great after coming. I am more happy that you invited me. For a long time, the Burdwan Sports Association (BDS) wanted to call me and feel great coming here today. ”

He also said that the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has been working with the Burdwan Sports Organization for the last 50 years and many talented players have emerged from this district. Ganguly insisted on giving a chance to young players in the future as well.
