Jamaat-ud-Dawa commander and Hafiz Saeed’s nephew Abu Katal has been murdered in Jhelum, Pakistan. He was involved in several terrorist attacks, the most notable 2024 Riyasi terrorist attack. The attack was carried out under his supervision. Security in the area has been increased after this incident.

Nadeem is also known as Abu Katal. He is the commander of Jamaat-ud-Dawa and the nephew of Hafiz Saeed and is very special. There are reports that he was murdered in Jhelum, Pakistan. He and one of his companions were shot dead near Mangla bypass. Unidentified people on motorcycle opened fire on his car, killing two people and one injured.

Mastermind of Riyasi attack

Abu Katal was sitting in PoK and was continuously attacking Jammu and Kashmir. Hafiz Saeed had entrusted Abu Katal the responsibility of making a big attack on Jammu and Kashmir. Hafiz made Katal the chief operational commander of the army. Katal used to get orders from Hafiz and then he used to carry out major attacks in Kashmir. He was the mastermind of the rich attack on 9 June. The matter remained a headache for all security agencies including the army.

 

 

Abu Katal was involved in which terrorist incidents?

Abu Katal was involved in many major terrorist incidents. He was involved in the 26/11 attacks in Mumbai. Along with this, the name of Abu Katal was also revealed in the attack on pilgrims returning by bus on 9 June 2024. These pilgrims were returning to visit the Shivkhori temple in Reasi, Jammu and Kashmir.

According to the NIA, Abu Katal’s involvement in the 2023 Rajouri attack has also been revealed. Abu Katal was included in the Most Wanted List of NIA. Abu Katal was in the eyes of Indian security agencies for a long time. Indian security agencies were looking for him. In such a situation, the killing of Abu Katal is good news for India.
