Recently, the film’s director Anurag Basu, in a conversation with Hindustan Times, gave the real reason for being out of Trupti Dimri. He clarified that Tripti’s image has nothing to do with this decision. He said:
“I will be the last director of the industry who will judge any actor on the basis of his image.”
According to Basu, the real reason for Trupti Dimri leaving the film was to clash her dates. When the shooting of ‘Aashiqui-3’ was about to begin, Trupti was shooting a film by Vishal Bhardwaj. For this reason, the dates did not coordinate and had to leave the film.
Anurag Basu also said that Trupti is his close friend and he appreciates his talent.

During the interview, Anurag Basu also revealed that the film ‘Aashiqui-3’ would not be an official title. He told that the makers are not fully sure about this name and the new title of the film can be declared next week.
