CBI Raid: The activities of political parties regarding Gujarat assembly elections 2027 have intensified. As soon as the Aam Aadmi Party’s political journey started, there has been a new twist in the politics of Gujarat. In such a situation, as soon as AAP got a lot of responsibility in Gujarat, the CBI raided the Delhi residence of AAP leader and strategist Durgesh Pathak.
According to sources, this action has been taken in a case related to the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA). However, the AAP leaders have directly attacked the central government and the BJP, calling it a conspiracy.
The CBI conducted raids for the FCRA violation.
The CBI team reached Durgesh Pathak’s house in Delhi on Thursday morning and searched for several hours. It is being told that this raid has been conducted under the investigation of a case related to foreign funding.
The BJP is afraid of being active in Gujarat.
The Aam Aadmi Party has reacted strongly to the CBI action. Senior party leader Manish Sisodia wrote on Twitter, “CBI raids took place when Durgesh Pathak was given the responsibility of Gujarat election 2027! It is not a coincidence, but a conspiracy arising out of fear of BJP. The BJP knows that only AAP can challenge them in Gujarat – now only AAP can challenge them – and this fear is haunting them.”
‘Attempt to influence political strategy’
AAP leaders say that Durgesh Pathak is known for his great strategy in the Delhi Municipal Corporation elections and now when he has been given the responsibility of Gujarat, the CBI raid is inspired by political vengeance.
Questions raised on proceedings before Gujarat elections
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has started preparations for the Gujarat assembly elections, meanwhile the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has raided the Delhi residence of senior party leader and co-contemporary Durgesh Pathak of Gujarat. In this regard, the party has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of having a political conspiracy.
Atishi tweeted
Former Chief Minister Atishi wrote on X (East Twitter), “The Aam Aadmi Party has started preparing for the Gujarat election, CBI has reached Durgesh Pathak’s house. Only you can challenge the BJP in Gujarat and this raid reflects their frustration. Even after so many years, the BJP has not understood that we do not have to fear their threats.”
Questions have been raised earlier in the excise policy case.
Last year, the name of Durgesh Pathak was included in the CBI charge sheet in the Delhi Excise Policy case. Although his name was not in the initial FIR lodged by the CBI, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) also summoned him twice for questioning in the case.
Many big leaders of AAP have been accused.
The CBI charge sheet includes the names of several leaders including AAP chief and Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, former Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, Communications In -charge Vijay Nair, Telangana MLC Kavita.
