Aadhaar Card Online Process: Aadhar card has now become an integral document of our lives. Aadhaar card is required for everything from identity card to availing benefits of government schemes. In such a situation, if the Aadhaar card is lost or damaged, many important works may come to a halt.

What is PVC Aadhar Card?
Polyvinyl chloride card (PVC) is similar to plastic card. You can understand it like a PAN card. Aadhaar information is printed on it. It will fit easily in your wallet like a PAN or debit card.
How to make PVC Aadhar Card?
- First of all go to UIDAI website and apply online.
- Enter Aadhaar number and captcha code on the site and click on send OTP.
- OTP will be sent to your registered mobile, fill it and submit.
- Then you have to click on ‘Order Aadhaar PVC Card’.
- You will see your information. Click on the next option here.
- Now you will get payment options of credit/debit card, net banking and UPI.
- You have to select the payment option and deposit a fee of Rs 50.
- After payment the order process of Aadhaar PVC card will be completed. Then you do not need to do anything further.
- After checking your information UIDAI will print the Aadhaar and hand it over to India Post within 5 days.
- The postal department will deliver it to your home through speed post.
3 formats of Aadhar card
Aadhaar card is currently available in 3 formats, Aadhaar letter, e-Aadhaar and PVC card. According to UIDAI, PVC cards manufactured in the market are not valid. UIDAI has provided the facility to reprint Aadhaar card on polyvinyl chloride card (PVC) in October 2024. You can also get a new Aadhar card made through offline means. For this you will have to go to the nearest Aadhaar center and complete the necessary process there.
