CBSE Class 12 Geography Exam 2025 Paper Analysis:

Akhilesh Mishra, PGT Geography, Vidyagyan School, Sitapur, said, that the CBSE Geography paper was well-designed and comprehensively tested students’ knowledge and abilities. With a proportionate level of difficulty and a combination of conceptual and higher-order thinking (HOTS) questions, it catered to students across different levels of preparation.

Pranjal Rai and Mamta, students at Vidyagyan School, Sitapur, shared positive feedback, emphasising how their consistent preparation and practice enabled them to approach the exam with confidence. Their responses reflected that the paper was fair and manageable, reaffirming that their year-long dedication and hard work had paid off.

Tanishka Audichya, a class 12 student at Bal Vidya Mandir School, shared her thoughts on the exam, saying, “I got the third set, and in my opinion, it was mediocre. It was a bit lengthy for someone not used to writing, but overall, the paper was good and a bit easier than I expected. The map was the simplest. The 5-mark questions were a little long and used up a bit more time, but they weren’t difficult. But thankfully, I was prepared. I hope to score at least 90+ in the subject. The source-based questions were easier than expected, and even the MCQs weren’t tricky. Overall, I believe that with thorough preparation, one can definitely score maximum marks. Even someone who didn’t study much could do well if they understood the concepts of the chapters.”

Adarsh and Pratiksha, students who appeared for the CBSE Class 12 Geography exam, shared their insights, saying, “The Geography question paper was well-balanced, with a good mix of short and long-answer questions. The map work was clear and straightforward, and we appreciated the questions on current geographical issues as they were quite relevant. However, the section on physical geography could have had more variety in terms of topics, as some questions felt repetitive. It would have been helpful to have more real-world examples in the theoretical sections. Overall, I found the paper challenging but fair, testing our understanding and application of concepts effectively. I particularly liked the section on human geography, which encouraged critical thinking. However, the time allocated for some of the longer questions felt a bit tight, especially when it came to elaborating on case studies.”

CBSE Class 12 Geography Exam Pattern:

As per the sample paper, the paper consists of five sections: A, B, C, D, and E.

– Section A (questions 1-7) contains multiple-choice questions, each with a mark.

– Section B (questions 18-19) contains source-based questions, each with three marks.

– Section C (questions 20-23) contains short answer questions, each with three marks, and must be answered in 80-100 words.

– Section D (questions 24-28) consists of long answer questions, each with five marks, and must be answered in 120-150 words.

– Section E (questions 29 and 30) consists of map-based questions with five marks each.
