Punjabi lyricist Gursevak Singh Brar died in Faridkot district. Motorcycle-riding servant Brar died after hitting a truck in Kharakol village on Kotkapura-Muktasar Road. Based on the statement of the family, the police have registered a case and started investigation.
According to the information, the accident took place around 8.45 pm on Sunday night. Gursevak was returning to his village Khokhar (Muktsar) from Kotkapura on his bike. When he reached near Brar Dhaba near village Khara, he collided with a truck. He died on the spot due to serious injuries in the accident.
The sarpanch of the village said that the deceased is left behind by the elderly father, wife and son. His death has broken a mountain of sorrows on the family as he was the only earner in the family. Police will take action against the accused truck driver. The body of the deceased has been sent to Guru Gobind Singh Medical College Hospital of Faridkot for post -mortem. Investigating officer ASI Gurbir Singh said that on the basis of information, the police has started investigation and legal action is being taken on the basis of the statement of the family of the deceased.
