Sri Lanka News: A monkey in India’s neighboring country Sri Lanka caused electricity to be lost in the whole country. On Sunday, a monkey came into the power grid in the capital Colombo, causing the entire grid to fail and disrupted the power supply. The incident took place after 11 am. From Sri Lankan hospitals to many public places, there was electricity for hours.
Sri Lankan Energy Minister Kumar Jaikodi told the media that a monkey power grid in Panadura region came in contact with a fierce explosion and disrupted power supply. The minister admitted that due to this incident, there was a long power in many areas including the National Hospital, although electricity was restored in the hospital after an hour. But some areas did not have electricity for five hours.
Power cuts in many parts of the country also created water crisis, because people whose vehicles were closed due to lack of electricity found it difficult to provide water. This disclosure was also made by the Sri Lanka government. Apart from this, people were also already informed about it. The government has claimed that power supply has been restored in some areas, but many areas are still without electricity. Due to which people had to face a lot of problems.
