A high speed car crushed many people in Vadodara, Gujarat, causing a woman to death on the spot. This terrible accident took place near Muktanand intersection in Karelibagh area around 12:30 pm.

The 23 -year -old law student Rakshit Chaurasia, who was allegedly driving the car, fell victim to the local people after the accident. The people present on the spot beat him up and handed him over to the police. Now the CCTV footage of the incident has been revealed, in which this horrific accident has been captured.

A video of the incident is going viral on social media, showing that the speeding car hit two scooters.

  • First the car scoots the scooter riders, then drags them and moves forward.
  • In another video, the owner of the car Meet Chauhan, who was sitting on the co-driver seat at the time of the accident, gets out of the car and convicts his friend of the accident.

What did the accused say at the time of the incident?

Shocking things have been revealed in CCTV footage:

  • Raksha Chaurasia “Another Round after the accident? Another round? ” (Another round?) Heard screaming.
  • He was also heard calling a girl named “Nikita”.
  • Soon after the accident, passers -by caught the accused and beat him fiercely.

Identification of deceased woman, accused resident of Varanasi

  • The police have identified the deceased woman as Hemali Patel. She was driving Scooty when a high speed car hit her.
  • Accused Rakshit Chaurasia hails from Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh and is studying law in Vadodara.
  • He lived in a PG and was probably drunk at the time of the incident.

Deputy Police Commissioner (DCP) Panna Momaya said:

“The car’s speed was very fast in the initial investigation. It can also be a case of drunk driving. Medical test of the accused will be done to confirm whether he was drunk or not. ”

Police arrested accused, search for friend continues

  • Soon after the accident, the police arrested Rakshit Chaurasia.
  • His friend Meet Chauhan, who is the real owner of the car, is still absconding. The police is searching for him.
  • The accused had a driving license, but it is clear from such a high speed and careless driving that he ignored the traffic rules.
