Renowned English Premier League Club Manchester United’s manager Ruben Amorim’s press conference on Sunday was interrupted by a bizarre reason. With Amorim in the middle of the presser following a crushing defeat to Bournemouth, the ceiling at Old Trafford began leaking as water dripped onto an unidentified reporter. A video of the same surfaced on social media.
In a video shared by Sky Sports, a reporter was heard asking, ‘What is that, a drip?’ To which the Portuguese coach said, ‘yes’. Reportedly, the Old Trafford Stadium is known for its inability to keep the water out of the venue during rainy games. The previous season saw water coming down the roof during a fixture against Arsenal. Poor conditions grabbed the limelight again last month when a dead rodent was found underneath a seat.
Meanwhile, below is the video of Ruben Amorim reacting to the drip at Old Trafford Stadium, uploaded by Sky Sports:
“In this moment, everything is so hard” – Ruben Amorim
With the decorated club losing by a humiliating margin of 3-0 to Bournemouth, Amorim admitted that answers to come by have been incredibly hard, observing that players are feeling the heat. He said, as quoted by BBC Sport:
“In this moment, everything is so hard. At a club like Manchester United, to lose 3-0 at home, it’s really tough for everybody. Of course the fans are really disappointed and tired. You can feel it in the stadium in the first play. At the first goal-kick with Andre Onana, he’s thinking what to do and pushing the other guys and everybody is so anxious. I understand that, but we have to face it.”
