Dhamtari, October 1 (HIST): This Navratri, the adorable Goddess Maa Vindhyavasini of Dhamtari city will be decorated with a 340 gram gold crown and umbrella. Members of Vindhyavasini Temple Trust are busy preparing for it. It is believed that all the wishes of the devotees who come to the 250 year old historical Bilai Mata Temple (Vindhyavasini Temple) are fulfilled. The crown and umbrella made from 340 grams of gold donated by devotees will be installed on the first day of Navratri.
Vindhyavasini Temple Trust President Anand Pawar, members Surya Rao Pawar, Madhavrao Pawar told that the very ancient temple located in Dhamtari Nagar is famous by the name of Vindhyavasini Bilai Mata. By just seeing him all the work gets completed. Similarly, Goddess Vindhyavasini, the presiding deity and protector, appeared automatically by rising from the ground with a divine stone. Goddess Lalima, adorned with vermillion in a huge form, is looking at everyone with her radiant gaze giving blessings to the devotees. The newly married couple receives blessings from Mother Vindhyavasini and starts their long, successful family life. Whoever sees the supernatural form of the mother once, wants to see it again and again.
A devotee donated 100 tola gold to make the crown.
Earlier in this temple, Mata ji’s crown and umbrella were of silver. Which has now been made with gold coating. 180 grams of gold has been plated in the crown and 160 grams of gold in the umbrella. A devotee of Maratha Para donated 100 tola gold. Apart from this, three others also donated secret gold. Some devotees also offered gold. For which the crown and umbrella have been prepared. The gold crown and umbrella mounted on the copper will be installed on the day of Navratri.
