JLR’s Global Managing Director Martin Limpert told the media that his customers would like India -based Special Edition more, in which Ranthambore Edition is being well liked.
Due to this, the Himalayan edition has been encouraged, although detailed information about it has not been given yet, but this edition is likely to be light colored shades and theme trims, which is similar to the Ranthambore edition. In the Ranthambore edition, it had a black finish, with contrasting corinthian bronze and anthritic accents, which were described as inspired by tiger stripes.

Inside, Carway and Pearlino semi-nilin leather was embroidered in the upholstery that was again inspired by the stripes found on the spine of the tiger. JLR limited this version to only 12 units, and according to Limpert, they all sold in the first week itself.
The demand for a special edition can be understood as it can add a sense of uniqueness to the car. In view of this, the business also intends to expand the offer of custom services, which should be made easier by the local assembly of Range Rover and Range Rover Sport.
Limpert reported that local assembly was important in JLR’s performance last year. During the financial year 2025, the company registered a 40 percent increase, sold 6,183 units and moved up to third place in the luxury segment in India. As a result, sales of Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models increased by 2.5 times.
It is true that the Range Rover is like a luxury boat compared to a normal SUV and has become a benchmark for luxury, especially in the SUV segment, although it has retained the behavior running in all its areas, special versions can be seen only as cars with special form.
