Gujarat ATS Arrests Health Worker For Leaking Sensitive Information Related To BSF, Air Force With Pakistan

Gujarat: As part of the massive crackdown on Pakistani spies across the country, the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has arrested another suspected spy from the Kutch border area. The accused has been identified as Sahdev Singh Gohil and is a resident of Gujarat. The ATS has brought Gohil to Ahmedabad for further investigation.
Gohil, a multipurpose health worker, was reportedly in contact with Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) and had been leaking sensitive information related to India. According to officials,The man had shared details about certain sensitive locations in Gujarat.
Gohil was called in for an initial interrogation earlier on May 1, following intelligence inputs to the ATS that he was in touch with an ISI operative. While being interrogated, it came to light that Gohil had been in contact with a woman named Aditi Bharadwaj through WhatsApp between June and July 2023.
According to ATS, Gohil learned about Bharadwaj’s true identity shortly after they started talking. Despite knowing that she was acting on behalf of Pakistan, he allegedly sent pictures and videos of BSF and IAF building sites through WhatsApp, as directed by her.
Gohil was paid Rs 40,000 in cash by an unknown individual for sharing the information.
In the first week of 2025, Gohil purchased a SIM card on his Aadhaar Card and activated WhatsApp on the number for Aditi Bharadwaj using OTP. The number was later allegedly used by the Pakistani agent to obtain the sensitive visuals. Gohil’s phone has been seized and sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for further analysis.
Meanwhile, on Thursday, a court extended the police custody of YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra by four days, police said. The 33-year-old was arrested on suspicion of espionage.
