Thukpa is a popular Tibetan and Nepali dishes, especially eaten in large quantities in the cold months. This dish can be made both in a vegetarian or non -vegetarian. It contains noodles, lots of vegetables and spicy soup. Thukpa is also healthy because it is tasty and rich in nutritious elements. This dish is also very popular in Indian states like Sikkim, Ladakh and Arunachal Pradesh.

 

At this time, unseasonal rain is wreaking havoc everywhere. During these rainy days, the weather remains cold everywhere and some people also fall ill. In such an environment, Thukpa can be a great dish for you. If you like to eat Chinese, then you will definitely like this recipe. This dish is served in many hotels, but today we are telling you the simple method of preparing this delicious Thukpa at home in a traditional way.

Material

  • Oil – 2 tablespoons
  • Onion – 1 medium, finely chopped
  • Garlic-4-5 buds, crushed
  • Ginger piece – 1 inch, grated
  • Carrots – 1, chopped
  • Cabbage – 1/2 cup, chopped
  • Capsicum – 1, chopped
  • Tomato – 1, Finely chopped
  • Soya Sauce – 1 TableSpoon
  • Red chili powder – 1/2 teaspoon (optional)
  • salt to taste
  • Black Pepper – 1/4 teaspoon
  • Boiled Noodles – 1 bowl
  • Water or vegetable soup – 3 cups
  • Coriander – for decoration

Action:

  • For this, first heat oil in a large pan and add garlic and ginger to it. Fry till the fragrance comes.
  • Add the onion and fry it a little.
  • Then add chopped tomatoes, carrots, cabbage and capsicum and fry for 2-3 minutes.
  • Now add soy sauce, red chili powder, salt and pepper and mix well.
  • Then add 3 cups of water or vegetable soup and boil for 5-7 minutes.
  • Finally add boiled noodles and cook for 2 minutes.
  • Turn off the heat and serve hot thukpa.
  • You can also add chopped coriander and chili sauce to it.

Comment:

  • If you want to make non-veg thukpa, you can use chicken broth and ripe chicken pieces.
  • If you want more delicious Thukpa, you can add a little lemon juice.
  • This dish provides a pleasant feeling in cold weather.
