Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): In a bid to ensure robust security during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit on May 31, 10 senior women police officials will lead the police force during the mega women empowerment convention, which is expected to draw nearly 2 lakh women from across the state.

According to Bhopal Police Commissioner Harinarayanachari Mishra, senior women officials from both IPS and SPS ranks will oversee security operations. These officers will be strategically stationed throughout the venue to guarantee safety and smooth conduct of the event.

To strengthen the security grid, an additional deployment of 700 to 800 women police personnel, ranging from Superintendents of Police to constables, will be called in from across the state. This effort is part of a broader security arrangement involving a total force of 3,500 police personnel in the city during the high-profile event.

Authorities are taking extensive precautions in anticipation of PM’s visit. Police officials said that rigorous verification processes are underway for tenants and guests staying at lodges, hotels and rental accommodations citywide.

Moreover, strict surveillance measures are being implemented. Use of drones near the event venue has been restricted and intensive checking drives are being conducted at all entry and exit points of Bhopal. Police teams are thoroughly checking vehicles to prevent any security breaches.
