Indigo flight 6E2141 had to make an emergency landing at Srinagar Airport after facing hailstorm. All 227 passengers aboard the aircraft landed safely. Officials said IndiGo flight 6E2141 going from New Delhi to Srinagar faced unrest in the middle air when he reached very close to Srinagar Airport due to bad weather, but it landed safely at Srinagar International Airport.
An airport official said that IndiGo flight 6E2142 was facing hailstorm while going from New Delhi to Srinagar. There was chaos in the passengers due to disturbance in the aircraft, but due to the efficiency of the pilots, the aircraft could land safely.
People said that the pilot immediately reported an emergency to Srinagar Air Traffic Control (ATC) and despite the weather challenge, the aircraft landed safely at 6:45 pm. The official said that all 227 passengers and aircraft are safe. He reported that after the incident, the airline declared the aircraft as “aircraft on ground”, which means that it needs inspection or maintenance before the next flight.
Sheikh Samiullah, a passenger aboard the plane, said, “I am a regular traveler, but I have seen such disturbance for the first time.
IndiGo issued a press statement saying that the aircraft landed safely and customers were taken care of. “Flight from Delhi to Srinagar 6E 2142 faced sudden hailstorm on the way. The aircraft and cabin crew followed the installed protocol and landed safely in Srinagar. After the arrival of the aircraft, the airport team took care of the customers, prioritizing their well -being and rest. The aircraft would be left out after necessary inspection and maintenance,”
