News India Live, Digital Desk: Nations league: Portugal head coach Roberto Martinez on Tuesday announced the team for the upcoming Nations League semi -finals against Germany. Portuguese star Cristiano Ronaldo has been included in a team of 27 players for the match to be held on 5 June in Munich at 12:30 am (IST).
Martinez confirmed that the 40 -year -old player is fit and available for the match. He said, “Cristiano is available. There is no problem. I am very happy with the quality in the team. We have many options. We have four players in the Champions League finals, and it is interesting.”
Portugal topped Group A1 with 14 points, won four games and two draws. In the quarter-finals, he defeated Denmark with a total score of 5-3 to confirmed his place in the semi-finals.
18 -year -old Rodrigo Mora has also been included in the team. Mora performed brilliantly with Porto this season and scored seven goals in his last seven matches. Martinez praised Mora, saying, “Mora is a special player. After what he has done for Porto in the last six months, he deserves to join the national team. He played on a very high level. When I talk about him, I smile because he is a player who can start an era in Portnaire football.”
